Pixi glow peel pads. pixi glowtion, pixi glow mist, pixi sleep mask

I first noticed Pixi Skintreats at a local pharmacy here in Canada (fondly called Shoppers Drug Mart). As any skincare addict, I was swayed by the brand’s minimal and light green packaging. I decided to do a brief review of the products I bought, after having used them for a whole week.

The Glow Peel Pads and Overnight Sleep Mask are a must! However, be careful of the Glow Mist if you are sensitive to oils!

Very simply, they are exfoliating pads, soaked in glycolic acid, vitamin E and aloe vera that is meant to minimize pores, clean the skin and reduce breakouts!

Without doubt, this is my favourite right now! I apply one each night and wash it off after 2 minutes or so. It does tingle a little bit but I’ve been told that is normally the case with glycolic acid, so let’s go with that, shall we? I have oily cheeks and gosh do my pores and I suffer in the crazy humidity. I can’t stress how much of a difference it made to my pores! My extremely sensitive skin did not suffer from any reaction whatsoever, and for me that is a testament to the quality of the ingredients! As an added bonus , if you travel a lot, this would be great to carry on the plane because it eliminates the hassles of liquids!

I quite liked this little guy! My skin always looks quite hydrated with a nice glow! It has a subtle fragrance of rose which was a relief because overpowering scents give me a headache! Again, no reactions to it so that was a plus! However, I want to add that the dropper is really not well made. It is really annoying to use it and I recommend just using it without the dropper.

Glowtion Day Dew

This is my other favourite from this bunch! It instantly adds a nice glow,  giving an almost holographic (unicorn skin?) look! I think it has a stronger scent than the other products so I’m not a fan of that. Half a pea (that’s a unit of measurement right?) does the trick for me so it seems like it will definitely last a long while!

Glow Mist

An all in one beauty spray

The thought of this product sounds amazing –  spray to moisturize, add a glowy look and set your makeup all together. The liquid looks like it has some oil floating on the top which I am guessing handles the moisturizing part. It is a bit thicker than your usual setting spray and takes a bit to dry. However, this product did not suit me at all and I instantly broke out. I am guessing it is because of the oil particles in it? According to their website reviews, people loved it so I guess I was the only one. But if you do have sensitive skin like me, I suggest you use caution when using this one!

I was looking for a product that I could leave on my face and battle the dry cabin air. A moisture mask is an excellent alternative to those who like me don’t want to be seen dozing off in the plane with a white sheet over their faces! Now, I’ve only used this 3 times but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the results! The mask itself does not feel too heavy at all and gets absorbed into the skin quite easily! You can quite easily wake up the next day with a healthy, supple skin. For the price, I think this is absolutely a must buy!
